Thats what I'm saying dude. After I get out the military I wouldn't mind making a living working at a dispensary. I mean working with what you enjoy and helping people out,, what more can you ask for.

Becoming a pharmacist takes 6 yrs.
A pharm tech is basically a pill counter.
That is a dead-end job if there ever was one.
May I suggest that you drop the thought.

Exactly, i agree. If you want to work with cannabis legally be a care giver. If you were working at a club you wouldnt be able to smoke it without a card... be a caregiver... grow it... and done let anyone find out your taking some for yourself.

A pharm tech's job is a dead end because there is no place to go and in the States you are lucky to get $20 an hour. Retail is much less. And retail sucks.

May I suggest you talk to a pharm tech before you desire to become one?

HI Maubee.
Where are you located? In California I don't think you
need a "secondary education". If you have a prescription-not hard to get
in Cali- you have access to the dispensaries. Some of them are volunteer
staffed. That would be an easy "foot in the door". You could just campaign
some of them and see which ones are hiring. If you know what weed is and
are willing to learn, you are qualified enough. I go to the dispensaries here
in L.A. , IMHO some of those folks barely graduated high school, they sell
fine weed though and that is good enough for me.
Also most of them are blazin' all day long, they need to know their product!
Better have strong lungs and some endurance!
Good luck, hope this helps.

yeah I'm located in Cali. I was just interested as to what would be needed to work at a dispensary. Thanks for all your info HighGuy, really helpful. Also what is a "caregiver" Do they take care of med. marijuana patients? I've heard of the term just never really understood what exactly they do. Thanks

Of course we dont. America has medicinal cannabis, England doesnt.
