    Leaf curl is a common trait of overwatering and looks very similar to underwatering. With overfert'ing, you'll see brown, crispy edges on the leaves at first, more leaf burning depending on the amount.

    if your pH is off, you are gonna need to invest in a pH meter. I got mine off ebay for $30, really cheap but works really well. Once you determine your pH you can buy products called PH UP and PH DOWN, or you can do it yourself using things like lime and vinegar.
