Everyone that you know would probably start acting like your best friend and expect money of you or people would just hate you and want to kill you because your rich and their not because of jelousy i would definately keep it a secret.

Also if you did win the lottery say 5 million..would you quit your job and just live of that? i would still carry on working and going to college because it kinda takes the fun out of life and you would get bored imo, actually fuck work lol.

i would continue going to school just not pay as much attention i would also go to college cause it would just be something to do, i would probz have a apartment somewhere where it is legal to grow weed and just fill that apartment up with bud and just go there every now and then and pick up a 9 bar

i would also probably get into a bit of organised crime, buy 500,000 extacy pills @ 30p a pill and then sell em of at 50p a pill, nice ll money maker

I have a comfortable life right now and don't see a need to do anything wildly extravagant. I'd keep working, which, in my case, is school. And my family and close friends would certainly be told, but I'd try to reduce any media attention because lottery winners get inundated with requests from absolute strangers and, for that matter, distant relatives.

I'd get a good financial advisor and attorney. I'd save and invest. Set up solid trust funds for my cousin's kids and better endow the one our son has now. Modify my will. I'd give as much as possible to charities and causes I care about. Then I'd probably do a whole lot more traveling during semester breaks from school. Depending on the amount of the jackpot I won, I might buy two or three art pieces I'd like to have--and I'd probably further indulge my taste for antiques, too. That'd be about it.

When we were freshmen in HS...my friend was with his aunt (we were like 15), and she had him run into a store and get a $3.00 scratchie. She gave him the $3, but he scratched it......$50,000. So they settled on splitting the money. He bought a nice Stang, computer, surround sound system, huge TV, gave some to his mom. I swear it seemed like he spent it in a week LOL! ($35,000 after tax...divided by two...about $17,500 each) We would just be sitting in his room, he'd just start throwing $20's around haha.

And in case you didn't believe it (he wasn't shy about it)...he got a stack of receipts for proof. If it were me though, I woulda kept my mouth shut haha...maybe just tell him, and very few other people.
