Funny thing, I lived in China for a year or so, and have been back many times, and never once saw general tso's or honey chicken. Actually very little of what we see in a typical American Chinese restuarant can be found there. And they never heard of fortune cookies. They were invented in San Francisco. Practically as Aemican as apple pie.

Ironically, they have these places in China called "California Noodle House" that basically sell Vietnamese Pho. My guess is that some Chinese guy came over here, ate in a Vietnamese place and thought "hey, what a great American food! I can sell a shitload of this in China" LOL
