I've heard from people locally who have used them that they're pretty good. Has anyone got anything to say to support or refute this? All advice is welcome.
That is the exact same vaporizor I bought and then threw in the trash. Don't waste your money. Yes, it did get me high but it was a pain in the ass and I had to use a lot of weed. It's like this, there are two types of vapes, conduction and convection, one works great and the other doesn't.

The THC is weed vaporizes when exposed to heat. With a hot plate/conduction type of vape, it's really only the weed in contact with the hot plate that gets heated. You can unscrew the top, stir it up a bit and get a bit more to vaporize but it's really a pain in the ass. Plus, everytime you take the top off you risk losing some vapor. Plus, I've also heard that a lot of the vapor condenses on the inside of the glass dome and is wasted. Makes sense.

With a convection type of vap, like a vaporbros, you draw hot air through the weed when you hit it. Since you are actively pulling the hot air through the weed, all the weed is heated and vaporized, not just what is in contact with the heating element. Also, when you stop hitting it you stop heating it and stop vaporizing the THC, so no waste.

Think of it this way, you've got a long trip to go on. You have a choice of taking a 2 hr plane flight or riding in the back of a beat up old pice of shit pickup truck for 4 days. Yes, both will get you there but......
