Question about Bowls, Downpipes...

Use a pipe guaze? You can buy them everywhere.

Otherwise use tin foil, I just ran out of rolling papers and hit the pipe with a tinfoil gauze and it worked fine.

I know there are alot of myths about tin foil, I'm not starting a debate. I just use whatever I have to use to get me high.

Get a screen off your sink or go to the gastation and pick up a pack for like 50 cents.

the screen from your window is probably plastic. Even if you have shake itll still work in a bong even tho its got a hole. just drop a big pinch in the bowl(OUT OF THE BONG AND OVER SOMETHING FLAT!) and most of it well make a plug, compress that a bit with your finger, then take any that fell out the bottom, and proceed to put on top. Itll snap regularly too.

but if you REALLY wanna use a screen, try to use things that dont burn, glass from a beer bottle, or possibly a little pebble that just does the trick.

most shops will have screens for cheap. i got 20 of them for $2

I've always wondered, since I've only used a proper pipe a few times: If the bowl is packed tight enough so that no weed falls through, won't smoke be unable to get through the bowl?

Maybe. All you have to do is pack it up and inhale before you put a flame to it. If it inhales smoothly without any "extra" effort, then there's no problem.
