Question about Bowls, Downpipes...

I don't get it every Bong and Pipe I see have huge holes in the downpipe thingy, am i the only one here who thinks this, wouldnt the weed fall out, unnless u have alot of BIG nugs or something, but not all of us have alot of weed.

If you only have shake, then you just put a screen over the hole. If you have more than shake, use a plug nug or don't worry about it.

today i was so damn desperate to find some kind of screen, i used a PLASTIC Button it fit perfect and everything, but made the weed taste gross, but got the job done:stoned: Will never do that again tho lol

Any ideas on what to use for a screen, i looked all over the house.....

If you're feelin destructive a coffe filter metal net thing works.

My friends broke apart his and put it on the pipe.

Can't remember if it worked.

if you get a paper clip u can probly bend it so it kinda acts like a glass screen, its not the best but it works if ur desperate

never smoke shake outa bong
the hole in the bottom is sized for preference on nug burn.
bigger the hole the sooner it snaps through. good because you dont get as much resiny ass flavor, bad if you need to conserve..

how huge a hole you talkin? all the holes ive seen are like 3-4 mm tops

Aluminum foil
Pin (bent so it blocks the bud from falling in)
