Good luck with the quitting, Slipknot! I hope you can successfully do that this time! I think it's great that you keep trying. One of these days it's going to stick.
They were saying cigs went up nearly a dollar a pack here in Texas on January 1. How much is a pack of 100s nowadays? It's edging close to five bucks, right? That's nuts. Think of all the money you'll save once you're off those things.
P.S. I love Slipknot, too. And his wife Snookums as well!\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

yeah for higher quality cigs (malrboro's camels ect ect) they're around 4.50 a pack, and yes there is a dollar higher tax on all cigs now (i wonder if that applies to cartons as well, like if a carton is now 10 dollars more then they were) i'm not sure if it's only in texas tho, the news gave me the impression they were going up a 1.00 nationwide... they're expecting to bring in either an extra 8 million, or 8 billion dollars a year with this new tax... can't remember which -illion it was lol.

you won't as long as you say you won't... quitting cigs is one of those things you have to have damn near a flawless mindset, and have to want to quit, more than anything..

lol, that's what always gets me =/ logically i know it's not doing anything for me and i want to quit, but there's always tha tlittle voice/craving what ever you wanna call it, telling you to smoke more and more... last time i quit i also had an oz to smoke on.. unfortunately, i don't have that either this time...

yo brah thats great u tryin to quit...trust me ull feel alot betta.....its hard n to me tha best way is cold turkey...i tried leanin myself of wit a few diff methods soon after high school but didnt work....jus like u said tho...mind over matter....thats all it is...its all in ur mind. trust me u will crave one for tha rest of ur life. u jus have to b strong n not give in. im almost 26 i started when i was 8...well smoked my first cig when i was 8 but really picked it up around 11-12, and next month will make it 2 yrs smoke free for me!!!! i feel great! but like i said u will foreva crave one....i do almost everyday. it decreases wit time but will still b there. especially if u toke, or drink n what not. during tha 1st couple months when id b ouut at tha bar playin in poker tournys i would take a hit or 2 off a friends cig but only then. neva bought a pack or asked for a cig or even asked for a hit, except at those few moment. but if u do give in n hit a cig or wha not, dont let it get u down n tell urself "well mite as well keep smokin now" jus keep ur mind focused n ull b ok. If u dont have the will power then it wont work. Thats all it is when it comes to quitin smokin n even drugs n drinkin if u ask me. i understand that sum things give u body addictions n shit but still all in ur mind in tha long run. if u have strong will power u will/ or atleast have a greater chance of actually doin it. but if u dont have it, then it would pretty much b impossible. But hey...GOOD LUCK with it. i really hope u can do it. jus remember.......Mind Over Matter!!!! GL! keep us posted!
