The 'What is wrong with Lowryder' thread =p

..mainly because we've just set up out first grow room, and my fella being the impatient bugger that he is, can't wait for the. skunk no1, and hash plants, that we have growing to harvest so we wanted something quickish to grow whilst we waiting. We bought a pack of 10 seeds for £45, pricey but we thought worth it if he gets a some smoke out of it in a few weeks. Only 4 of the seeds actually germinated, just found one of those to be male, but he smells the strongest which totally confuses me! Anyway we're getting a part refund on the packet of seeds from the shop we bought, a small consilation, but i was expecting all seeds to germinate and have 10 lowryders growin in our room. I'd buy them again but not from that shop, as we also bought 10 nothern lights which did not germinate at all!, i think he storing his seeds wrong, we've had our other seeds germinate so i don't think i'm the one at afault, i could be wrong but even tho i'm new to all this i think it's the seeds.

I have grown Lowryder and Lowryder 2

They are great strains and very useful to certain growers as stated.

The original Lowryder was OK I grew it organically and to be honest I grew for seeds. The seeds might be expensive but so what? I now have 240 seeds for 10 planted... I just needed to pollenate one of the girls - and not by much either

The Lowryder 2 (Lowryder x Santa Maria) was a different story, fantastic plant and a really nice smoke. The Lowryder 2 stinks though compared to Lowryder 1 - a really spicy smell which made my greenhouse stink.

Not all Lowryders are made equal. The future for this strain is great IMHO.

I'm glad to hear that some people on here have had some success with lowryder... Hope fully my first grow will be a decent one. If I have a plant that produses even an ounce, I'll be happy...

is it possible they were ruined by mail like xray..or something that would sterilize them

Hi, we bought our seeds from a shop on the Wirral, which is in the UK as i live near the shop, we didnt wanna risk buying online. but what we did do is call the company who supplied the norhtern light seeds, who actually sent us two packets of seeds as compensation, which are now germinating. the lowryders we're still trying to sort something out with the shop. We spent £80/£160 on 30 seeds for only 14 to sprout, a lot of money wasted

My Lowryders were in the original Joint Doctor packaging - Paid £30 for 10.

All ten germinated just fine.

Lowryder 2 was the same, 100% germ rate.

Those seeds must have had problems.

Plus the seedbank I used added 200 (old stock) Durban Poison seeds - to my order as the Lowryder2 was really new and they didn't know how it would go.

Those are the lowryders that seed company is sending as replacement, joint doctor , so hoping they damned sight better than the ones that didnt germinate
