Bridging the connection won't do what you want it to, and should be disabled if you want to use internet connection sharing.

Also, you will most likely need a crossover cable to connect the computer to the xbox. This is not typically not provided because ICS with a computer and no router/switch is fairly uncommon. You can purchase them at almost any store that sells ethernet cables.

If you have a second computer and a crossover cable, you can plug that computer in to the main computer (the one connected via dsl) to check to make sure that ICS is functioning correctly.
