Honestly, you probably have a case. Also, add in your nintendo thumb injury and it is open and closed.

lol! dude.. i'm 21, when i was 5 i finaly got nintendo... video games didin't hit it big, (atleast in my neiborhood or my city, maybe even my state) until i was 10 or 11... even after then we had that shit... video games didn't ruin it all.... you just had to know where to look.... back then me and my friends were like 'fuck some n64 or playstation, lets go spend all night in the local woods', build us a 'safe house' to smoke in and chill ther everynight [which by the way were no 'woods' or forest, lol it equaled about a city block... you could literally choose a dirrection and be out of them within five minutes..] .. yeah dude, it only mattered how much you and your friends really wanted to sit on your ass... any neighborhood had adventures to go on... things to do (other than video games) it was just a matter of how much they wanted to see them, and how much they wanted to do them... i remember about the time everyone basicly said 'fuck going off and doing everything, everything we need is right here in this peice of shit'.... few remember that transition... i was one of the few... one of the few trying to convince my 'friends' of how much better it'd be to go off exploring, then sitting inside all day... man those were 'bad times'... eventually i gave up as well.. just decided to give in, so to speak...

shit, im only 16(well, 17 in 2 weeks and a day) and we used to do all that shit... there was about 16 kids, ranging from the ages of 5 to around 18 or 19... and we were tuff little shits, when you were 5 years old, did you ever have a 150 pound 15 year old tackle you*rasies hand* have you ever been nailed in the nuts with a base ball doing around 75? *raises hand*ever had so one fall out of a tree, and land on you? *raises hand*

we used to play tackle foot ball... until i started becoming the big kid, and everyone else started becoming the little kids, there were still people older then me, but the kids on the rez now-a-days, are pussys... i mean i grew up being white washed(i was always the youngest) and then i finaly wasnt the youngest, and i white washed the youngest boy(he was like 7) and he ran home and told his mom... fuck, when ever we got hurt, we would lay their until we could stand up and play some more ball... no one ever walked away with out a smile on their faces, even if you did get your asses kicked... we would just smile and say... another day ill get your asses back... and the next day came around... and we would talk one of the older kids into taking a trade of us jacking a ciggeret from our parents, if they would go kick the other guys ass... shit... the first time i ever smoked pot was with those guys...(we didnt inhale, and we had stole it from our parents)

then of corse, i was the first person to buy a nintendo, and i was never out side.. and then of corse... one person would find out about me having a nintendo, and everyone would be at my house, sournding the TV... life was so fuckin simple back then even... riding on the back of my cusians dirt bike... getting in fist fights with people, alot bigger then me, and sending them home crying... building forts in the swamp... or going across the high way(very fucking dangerous to cross) to go swiming in the creek...sitting in moms car waiting for her to finsh getting her stuff ready, and shifting the transmission into nutral, and hitting the clutch thinking its the break when the car started rolling down the drive way...(ask any kid on the rez, and they will all say they have done that... hell... one homie even actualy shifted the car into reverse, and backed into the ditch doing about 20 MPHs... needles to say, hes not the smartet kid anymore.. but he is a damn good wrestler... and every boy one the rez, dose one of the falowing 3 sports all threw high school... no matter were they move... Wrestling, Foot ball.... or basket ball... or they do 2 out of 3, foot ball... and then one of the others...ive always been a wrestler... and ive missed a year of it...

but, im about to sound realy fucking old... but... those were the good old days...

ok i realize there were people that grew up in years alot before our own... and even we don't exactly meet up on the generation range, but i still feel we do, we're nearly the same... but i feel you on that! i miss the good old days as well... i miss when it was safe to run around on the streets at 9 at night, and a parent didn't have to worry about their kid coming home with anything more than a scraped up knee... man i miss those days... and i feel for future generations... as the streets become less and less safe.. day or night... it just doesn't feel 'right' to me... no one used to have to worry about anything... now every parent has to worry about everything.. it just doesn't seem 'right' ..... man i miss the 'good old days' but unfortunately.. i think my 'generation' and yours seen the last of the good old days, and now we've entered a new set of days... and it's so new, we don't even know what to call it...

yea.. i know... but i think i might have had it better then you, cause on the rez, we could stay out until 2 or 3 am... and none of our parents would so much as worry about the scraped knee... but yea, i agree the fact that we are the last generation to be able to run around until 9 or 10... maybe ill get lucky, and the heroin crack and meth wont find its way to my rez and my kids will be able to live the joys of my life... i dont even think im gonna let my kids have a damn x-box or PS2... they will just be fat little fuckers... and i dont want fat kids who cant do anything for them selfs... i want my kids to know how it feels to have to earn monney for their stuff... i mean, yea, my parents handed me stuff... but i still know how hard it is to earn a dollar... i mean i had to do back breaking labor after my dad was kicked out... but we still injoyed our child hoods... and im gonna make sure my kids grow up somewere as cool as were i grew up... a place with atleast a few guys around his age, and a few older kids, to tuffen my kid up... and to teach him about building bikes from a half dozen broken bikes...(i have about 12 bike frames... and countless fucking bent rims for bikes... hundereds of inner tubes... and just shit loads of every bike part you can think of, cause i started fixing my own bikes at the age of like 9 or 10...)

hey... this is the best memorie i have as a kid... JUMPING BIKES...

play hide in seek in public gardens at night, when they were closed.
but a few crates of beer and go to some old fort have a few smokes and hang around trying to see what its was lie a few hundred years back.
the streets were safe it since it is a small Iland nearly everyone new everyone.
Today I have two beutifull kids two boys its not the same for them if they play out I find myself constantly looking out for them.
