adult getting wisdom teeth removed
well tomorrow morning i will be getting my wisdom teeth removed, they were due a long time ago but just never got around to it.....im not really into pain medication so im not sure how this is going to work out. I plan on vaporizing a lot to self medicate myself. Is there anything i should consider when trying to get high while my mouth is in pain......or any other advice?

Be careful!! Your oral surgeon will tell you not to smoke for a period of time and this is to avoid 'drysocket' which can happen after wisdom teeth extraction. After the surgery your body will be making blood clots and such at the extraction site to begin the healing process. Dragging on a joint, pipe, or cigarette causes pressure in your mouth sometimes allowing the clot and other healing material to be sucked from the extraction site (socket)

I[m not familiar with the dry socket but it's true you are going to have to be veeeery gentle with your wounds!
Frozen yoghurt is your bestest friend...NOT milkshakes because you have to drink them with a straw-no sucking!!!
For your pain, soft serve ice cream, maybe make some weed peanut butter and put it on bananas, and eh I hate to say it but vicodin or codeine... if you don't like pain meds don't let them perscribe you any crazy ones like percosets yowee! Tell your dental surgeon that. Communication is very important. Wisdom teeth are so blech. I hated getting mine out. But it's good that they're gone!

some people have very little pain after getting their wisdom teeth out, so keep your fingers crossed. i got mine out when i was thirteen, and i was in quite a bit of pain and missed a week of school because of them. my extraction was pretty extreme though, the teeth hadn't come thru the gums yet so they had to cut me open, and break two of the teeth in half to get them out. anyways, like the others have said- no sucking of any kind! no straw, no joints, etc. you will disrupt the healing/clotting which could lead to a dry socket. a dry socket is (to the best of my knowledge) when your jaw bone is literally exposed through your gum. it's very very painful. tylenol T3s are pretty tame i think, so those should do the trick, and throw all ur food in the food processor before eating it, won't hurt at all. mmmm big mac smoothie!

i had all four of mine removed when i was about 16-17.... (had to get all of my top teeth removed, while actually in surgery, so i had them remove the widsom's while they were at it...) i never had any pain whatso ever... this was without meds..

When I had mine taken out, I was put out and woke up went home and never had any pain. I ate normal that afternoon. hehe Don't see why some people cry about it, it's really a walk in the park.

so how's the pain? i never felt any soreness when i had my wisom teeth taken out (i also had all my top teeth removed at the same time... now i was pumped up as hell on morphine, i didn't need it when i woke up, i still wasn't sore, but i was just tryign to get jacked up with all the drugs i could, i had been locked up for a good 6+ months at the time lol...) i never once felt soreness.. however, when i went back a couple of years later for my bottom teeth... my mouth was sore as fucking hell for a couple of weeks... but that's probably because the first time around i dind't have cigarettes to smoke... second time, i was sucking 'em down at my usual pace, a pack a day.
