Me and my friend have 12-13 grams of stems. We know the tea bit. But we would like to make brownies. Cannibutter is what we are thinking. Anyways heres the question.

Stems contain a minute amount of THC and any THC found in the stem is usually just the sticky trichomes from the bud that ended up on the stem.
Not to mention the taste of the brownies would most likely be pretty harsh.
Just things I have read in the past. But if you are going to do it, try at least throwing in some shake so that the attempt doesn't end up a complete failure.

You don't want to cook the stems right in the food, where you actually eat them, because that, is gross. I did that once with cookies, and it was so nasty, I could barely choke 1 cookie down. Plus it didn't get me high.
12-13 grams of stems will give you very little cannabutter. Stems have a very small amount of THC on/in them, and using that amount to make butter will get one person barely stoned.
I suggest you make oil with them to get the most out of them. With that amount of stems, you might get just a gram of oil, even less.
Check out www.waytoomany.com under the Marijuana section, look for the title "Don't Throw Away Your Stems" and it's a video that shows how you can shake the kif from the stems. It's what I do sometimes.
I'll tell you though, I save stems in a container and this container holds about 14g's of stems. When I shake the kif from them, I get 1 bowl of kif from them , about 4 pipe rips, so you don't get that much.
Good luck.

Well it looks like we are going for it. We ground up the stems with a gram or so of bud put in in a coffe grinder, boiled it in oil on the stove into a black nasty substance, drained it and its in the brownie mix.
I will give you guys a follow up in a few hours.

From what I hear, stems contain little to no thc. I'd try green dragon if I didnt throw them away or chew on them.

I don't believe that stems contain enough THC to be of psychoactive benefit...furthermore, even the tea that's made from stems, produces the slightest buzz and is moreso for relaxation. Don't waste your time. Just buy some weed and make some butter from it instead?

Just make tea anything else tastes gross.
I've tried to make butter with stems before. I mixed 2 grams of ground up stems into half stick of butter then boiled and strained it and put it on a bagel.
The taste was repulsive but it got me good.
