idk about you but you seem kinda similar to how me and some of the local boys are/were. me i have a large amount of stress in my life (the GF has a lot to do with most of it) and i have found that butts are an easy cheap way of getting the anger and annoyance out of the way. i think that i started smoking for the opposite reason that stink put up, i wanted to rebel from the norm. our town has the lowest rate of (underage) smokers in the state. and i think that maine ha the lowest statistic on underage smoking. so it was kinda unusual to be smoking at age 11 here and that completely broke the norm. then everyone hit the teenage years and they started emulating me and the crew that i hang with. so i kinda think that i started to buck the system and it then turned and bit me in the ass. after i hit high school i buried the fact that i smoked from most of my classmates, i think that i did that for the same reason that i started but at than point i had developed a taste for them ciggs. now i do believe that i am addicted to them but it almost might be the control that the nicotine gives me over my emotions. another thing about your lack of addiction is that many people with add have a different response to drugs then a very similar person with the same drug. look at adderoll, for most people an upper, for a kid with add its a downer. i cant remember where i got that info from but i think that it was in some journal about Attention Deficit Disorder. not saying that you have add but it might be something to look into. even if just for the sake of gathering more info.
