Yeah, I think most people have this thing with alcohol and nicotine. It's just a link that we make..1+1. Like I said, a lot of my friends are the same way as me. One of my friends actually only smokes when he's high (ewww..I use to as well, but now that's just disgusting to me).

One of the reasons people I know can't quit is because they drink too. Also caffiene is another thing some people associate with smoking. So for my mom to quit smoking, she would need to quit drinking beer and coffee too, which would be hard because she drinks a few days a week, smokes about 2 packs a day, and drinks 4-5 cups of coffee.

I can see why cigarettes can be linked to caffiene and other stimulants...but alcohol is a depressant...total opposite.
