    yeah, the ice and water is nice.

    we put some water into our DIY bong, and freeze it (against the side) and then fill with refridgerated water when we're ready to smoke.

    Exactly. There is no need to add water with the rice, it won't make it a bonus filter or anything. If anything, all the rice will expand and get sticky, making it impossible to fully clean.

    Water OR rice OR ice, not combined into one thing.
