i know im pretty new here and a lot of people dont know me yet but i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions of songs/bands that help you blow off stress?
between school and court and being on academic probation im going crazy with stress and i have enough angry/sad music, but it only makes me feel worse.

this isn't "blow off stress" music, but it is relaxing. Coldplay. I know people either love it or hate it, and I happen to love it- but I strongly recommend listening to them to calm down. Their older cds are the best IMO. The music calms me down so much, it's unbelievable. They're great musicians too IMO.

When I wanna relax I put on Grandaddy. Can't get any more relaxing than that.
Depends on how you want to relieve your stress.
People watching? Statistics
Take me away from here? Hallucinogen
Fuck you everyone, I wanna blow shit up? At The Drive-In
Take me back to the good old days? Sublime
Musical prozac? Broken Social SceneHappiness only real when shared

you need to get the album This Binary Universe by the artist BT.. puts u in a mellow relaxed state of mind and doesnt let u out till te last song.. this is instrumental ambient music.. a lot of it is digital but in no way techno.. a lot of his other shit is techno but this album isn't. 1.618 and Good Morning Kaia are my favorite songs

Roots manuva...
Its UK hip hop but its not all about shootin people, theres alot more to it, one of the albums is called 'awfully deep', so its pretty self explanitory, the whole reason he started rappin was because of his love for 'life giving bass' so the instrumentals are all very relaxing, you really do have to hear it... he smokes weed too and i think he went crazy from it...

stick on the one called 'seat yourself miami' and search through limewire or whatever you have for 'witness the fitness' and if you dont like that i doubt you would like the rest of it, although there are some more relaxin tunes then the ones here... for example search 'dreamy days'
