are smoking just to get fucked up. It seems all my friends like to do is get really lit and just do stupid shit. Maybe its my ambitious nature but I cant just sit there and not do anything (unless im watching Mr. Show, or family guy, or some trippy movie that makes me think) it seems like my best highs are when im talking philosophy with my brother or debating an issue. Maybe its just me, but I feel like im wasting my whole fucking day by sitting around talking about how fucked up I got the other day. I just need to be doing something constuctive to be happy like reading or writing or playing guitar.I guess Im just venting, its hard to find people who want to carry an intelligent conversation about anything. :rasta:

I've noticed a lot of people just do things so they can say they've done it and brag about it. I don't see any fun in getting so "fucked up" where you're throwing up and feeling like shit. I only smoke enough to be able to enjoy it. I can understand at a party or something where you get really drunk, because I enjoy being drunk, but smoking so much to where you're passing out and shit is not fun at all in my eyes.

It sounds like you need higher level friends- you must be true to yourself and find other interesting people, because there are so many out there who would probably love to debate philosophy with you! Smoking pot doesn't have to make a person stupid. Life is too short to waste with people who are not as curious about life as you are- Never settle!

yeah, i like to talk philosophy with some of my homies sometimes, usually just about wherever the weed takes me though, so its not really just pick a topic and talk about it. just whatever comes up.

yeh I think most of my teen years (im 21) I really settled with being friends with people just to feel accepted and honestly I still think I do that. I can tell most of my friends are aware that "im a bit out there" and dont exactly fit in and enjoy most things that people my age do (sit at a bar and get wasted, sit around and watch football) I guess the feeling of being secure and accepted with these people has always kept me coming back, even though I may not have an opinion on how the Eagles did this week that feeling of these people are my friends felt good.Even though we may not have everything in common we still value our friendship. I guess companionship goes a long way... I guess im not doing myself justice by not being true to myself though.

And you don't have to give up your old friends just make some new ones. Sign up for a hiking club or something. You can never have too many friends

yeh i was thinking about joining the philosophy and psychology club at college to see what thats like, maybe I can spark up some drug debates

i used to smoke to get ripped but know its like this whole i just wanna be high all the time cause its a great way to live...Rolling up and seeing how good i can get at it and just smoking with people playing games listening music... it's just a way to chill.

It is annoying when people only do stuff to get "fucked up".

No doubt, it can be fun to be "fucked up" if you do it right. But I don't like to make drug usage ALL about philosophy and what not. Having fun should be a part of the experience, theres nothin' wrong with eatin' some good food and playin' a video game or whatnot. However I do hate when people feel the need to do stupid shit.

I'm sort of half and half, I do like to have philosophical and meaningful conversations and enjoy the deep thinking, but I also like to get high because its euphoric and getting high and doing something can be really fun. I don't do it just to get "fucked up" though.
