Also..are the leaves turning white-or yellow ? If they are turning white,it could mean a necrotic condition, whereas yellow could be too much ferts or the plant is starving for ferts and drawing them from it's own leaves.
It's normal for the bottom set of leaves to die off as the plant ages and grows new replacements..but if it's at the top-it's most likey due to too much ferts, disease,or too much heat.

If there's more than 2-3 inches of space, between the soil and the bottom of the first set of leaves, then chances are, they've stretched too much and will never be strong enough to support the weight of the buds.
How close are the floros to the top of the plant ? They should be no more than 3 inches away, also, you need a small, oscillating fan to further strengthen the stems and keep the plants strong and from stretching too much. The fan will also help to keep the heat down around the plants and will help them to git a fresh supply of carbon dioxide around the leaves.
Also, you may be watering them too much, you should allow the soil to dry out first, before you water, that allows oxygen to git to the roots-which is good for weed. You probaly shouldn't use any ferts until they are a month old,if your using potting soil with a low amount of fert supplement already added in-that will be more than sufficient the first few weeks.
It would really help,if you could use a digital camera and post a pic.
Have a good one...Torog

Plant dying please help
a picture could realy realy help, but look for bugs and get a moist-tester from the garden store let your soil get moderatly dry befor watering it, if indeed it is bugs or mites use neem oil (it's safe and inexpensive) did they just up and turn white or have tons of white dots? white dots are a sign of mites!
A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED, BUT A FRIEND WITH WEED IS BETTER!
