The very first time was a friend's bongschlager. The first piece I bought on my own was a cherry wood pipe.

Then I got one made out of some kind of stone... it felt soapy, maybe it was soapstone? It was shaped like a small foot with the end of the big toe as the inhaling hole. We called it "Smokeatoa", like the volcano.

first thing i ever smoked out of was my older brother's best friend's(at the time) spoon. i think it was purple...

first thing i ever got high out of was a tin foil pipe my friend and i made just by rolling foil around a pencil and bending up the end. it was great.
