Hey guys ive posted a few times with pics of my plant and asking for advise which without doubt has improved my first grow. Im growing WW and its about 1 week from harvest, bout 40% of pistals are turning amber, resin glands are begining to swell. There is about 1oz (28g) on my plant and i am more than pleased with this for my first grow . Im off nutriants now and for the last couple of waterings i have been adding sugar to the water.
-Query 1- The plant does have a nice aroma especially when the bud is touched and you smell ur fingers, it is very powerfull but apart from that it doesnt smell 2 potant, im afraid it will have a weak taste, is there anyway to make it smell/taste more/better?
-Query 2- im going to cure my bud for better quality, will this lower the smell of the bud or the taste?

Why are you adding sugar to the water? and who on this board or friend told you to do such a thing?

Never have heard of that either, I believe you want to be using just 100% water to flush everything out - you don't want to be adding things at this point.

Many people use molasses as a nute(?) for some reason or other. I believe the "sugar water" thing is stoner data degradation of this (valid) process. I.e., grower tells stoned buddy "I use blah blah blah long chemical names, molasses, blah blah blah...", all stoner buddy remembers next day is beautiful buds and something about molasses, which gets passed on to another stoner, and eventually molasses becomes sugar water, and ya end up with people watering their plants with Kool-Aid to make it purple, too.

lol thats not the case at all, molassus yes, thats what most growers use, however sugar does the job just not as good. Can anyone answer the questions.

It will have that aroma after you let it hang for a week or so in a cool, dark ventilated space; it sometimes comes back very strong. After the water dries out, what's left are the more aromatic oils & resins.

If you let it dry much longer past that point, you're going to start losing the more volatile oils. (The "high notes", fragrancewise) These volatile oils are NOT THC, but they are cannibinoids, and do affect the high.

It really depends on how ya cure it. There are several methods of curing, the most common being jar curing. All methods affect the taste & smell of the finished product to some degree. I don't think they "lower it" by any means. (Other than normal THC degradation over time & exposure)

Yo arab! Light and heat will degrade your weed.If all else fails.You could use it in coffee.! 1 bud or 2? I'm messin' with ya! The slower you dry it the better off you will be!In a cool dark dry place! I hope you do well !!!!!

Well Mr. Skiing Arab,

I have grown WW before and still love to buy a bag or two when in Amsterdam. So I know the weed very well. Anyway, 1) I use foxfarm organic therefore I can use it up till the harvest date. Please stop confusing smell with potency. Smell has nothing to do with the amount of thc available in a gram of weed. Taste well the fertilizer used can effect taste so you might try organic in future grows.

WW is a Cannabis Cup winner don't ever forget that 1000's of people sampled hundreds of strains before picking WW as a winner. Say potency three times fast. That's what the widow brought to the show. I don't give a fuck about smell or taste once I have the weed in my Volcano.

2) When using organic fertilizer the need for curing is greatly reduced if not removed all together. Curing will mello the taste of the smoke if required to remove harsh after taste of chemical fertilizier. Smell will no be effected.

Remember this "the stronger the poison the smaller the bottle". Therefore my recommendation is grow organic and buy zaporizer. But what do I know?

cheers, BTW im not confusing the smell for potency. I know my strain is very potent its covered in resin glands, i just would like it to be a stinky mother fucker
