It's been said, but Friendowl is no addict. He's a good guy actually.

I used to do this when I was about 16. Luckily I never went to jail for it as it was small amounts. I had 2 different accounts, wrote a check from one, deposited it into the machine to the other, and my bank allowed me a max. of $100 to take out until then check cleared. Of course I got busted when it said insufficiant funds from the other account, but I always paid it back.

Not the smartest thing to do either. It can give you bad credit if you do it often enough and in large amounts of cash. Luckily for me, I always paid it back when I got paid and in small amounts.

There are easier, safer ways to get these days though. Around here, we have pay out centers, not bansk really, but places where you can do payday loans, like Money Mart for example does that. As long as you have 2 of your latest pay stubs from work, and 2 recent bank statements showing you have an account, they will lend you up to 50% I believe of your 2 week earnings.

Some people need the money though. Just because someone decides to pull a small scam on the bank doesn't mean they are addicts. Believe it or not, some people don't make much money and need money to well, eat. If you don't work or have no source of income, then you shouldn't even think about starting to do this. It will just get you in a deep(er) hole.
