Hey doco thanks for the input!

I got a cheapo $50 inline fan for now. With the 250W I think that'll be good enough. If I can afford it I will get a 4" or 6" Vortex later and use this inline fan for intake. The guy at the grow shop has used a 6" Vortex (month old, he used it) and is selling it at the shop now for CAD$200. If I can figure it out I might buy it.

If I move up to 400W later I may look at having separate filter/exhaust and light cooling fans, but even then I'd like to get away with just one outtake.

I know that the depth is a little bit of a problem, but I plan on doing SCRoG in the future so I'll have to train my plants to be longer than wide. If I hadn't bought that cabinet online today I could have got one for $20 more at Canadian Tire that was 21" deep and 72" tall, still 30" wide. Argh! I guess that's what I get for being impatient. Though Crappy tire doesn't deliver as far as I know so that might've been a problem.

I bought some mylar, loctite to put it up, the fan, a combo digital thermometer/hygrometer, 3M foam tape stuff (used on the veg cab), and some parts for the carbon filter. I couldn't find all the parts I needed at Home Depot so tomorrow there'll be another visit to the grow shop. Hopefully they deliver that cab in the morning so I don't wait all day!

The cool tube actually requires the most work which is why I wanted to do it at the beginning, but I think it might be better to put it off for now unless there's a heat / height problem. My main goal is to get the cab smell-proof as I can leave the window in the room open and have it pretty cool.

It needs to be mostly smell-proof. I realize that without sealing the cab properly some will get out, but some scent is acceptable, and this way I can use 1 fan.

Sorry for thinking with my fingers here and rambling a bit.

canuck grower Reviewed by canuck grower on . Flowering cab, 250-400W HPS, DIY cool tube and carbon filter Hi guys & girls, I'm putting together a flowering cab to contain the odour. I'll have the actual cabinet in the next day or two and till then I'm going to stock up on supplies. I've never built one before so any advice is appreciated. I think I have a sound plan but if I'm forgetting anything please let me know. The cab is 30" W x 59" H x 17" D. I wanted a few more inches on depth but I bought what I can afford. The cab is this one: Rating: 5
