Are you nervous when dealing with Cops?

I hope this doesn't get confusing, I'm still not sure what I'm trying to say.

So I was just watching two episodes of Cops (When not watching football of course ) and I noticed that the cops on the show often ask the person they are searching/talking to why they are acting so irregular/nervous. I know that some of the people on the show are nervous because they probably know they are about to go to jail but here is my main question....

How would you/have you reacted to cops searching you, whether you were carrying at the time or not? I've never been searched or arrested but even if I wasn't carrying anything I'd be shitting bricks.

I don't know, it just seems funny for cops to be asking why people are nervous when they have cops all over them.

Cops is probably all fake and staged so dont even worry about it. I love it when they have their "War on Drugs" episodes.
