freakin out on facebook
so i have a facebook. today i got a friend request from my COUSIN. weird. i get along with my extended family as long as we dont talk politics or religion. he's the uber-conservative god-fearing catholic school going boy. i, on the other hand, am the angry atheist, uber liberal socialist, pot smoking non-sectarian school goer. i have a HUGE amount of stuff about my religious and political views as well as a lot of incriminating evidence about my drug usage. i kind of dug my own grave here. shoulda saw that coming. but anyway, i am a little afraid this information will leak out into the family grapevine which travels at light speed. uh oh....i'm afraid cousin Ginny (thats me) isnt such a good girl anymore.

Bizzle, can't you set it up so your cousin can only see a "limited profile?"
I'm not really sure how it works, but I know the option is there for things like this.
Just an idea.
Facebook is a stalker's best friend, he he. ~

Yeah, what skink said. Be proud. Your a weed smoker, oh no, the worlds gunner end.
Would they rather you were an alcoholic? Smashing the place up.
If they say anything tell them the truth, be proud and stand up for weed. And if they disown you then fuck them, cos the weed cant walk away

lol if i were u I'd clear up ur profile, your friends know who you are an don't need to be reminded. I think the fact you smoke weed is not always one that is beneficial to you to be publicly displayed. I keep my weed toking relatively low key apart from amongst my mates. You know there are now companies, contracted by employers that's sole purpoe is to track you down on profiling sites, get onto your friends list and find out what your really like.

You know what? I'm with LIP and Skink. Be proud. You're smart and you give weed smokers/advocates and progressive thinkers a good name. Maybe if it does come back to haunt you, you can help change your family's perceptions and attitudes about the things you believe in. I've now got both my parents persuaded that weed's a recreationally harmless and medically beneficial substance, and I'm moving onto my conservative friends now. My parents were easy. They're both college profesors, so they're smarter and more open-minded than 99% of people out there. But they're also older and have had longer to hear all the propoganda. Changing those attitudes can be done, and it requires intelligence and tenacity, both of which you have a full complement of.
