You can't really have a world without others. It's been debated whether you can really have a self without others. Just because something can be logically asserted doesn't mean there's any spiritual value to such a view. What if he's just a brain in a vat, such a belief won't help him get very far in life at all, and it will actually destroy his motivation to do so. Solipism does the same thing for interacting with others.

I'm sure he's just in a phase and will get slapped in the face by the world at some point when he lifts his head from the drudgery of high school, but that doesn't mean I need to support his delusions. What's your excuse NEH? Still a teenager?
I wonder what your philosophy is.. I put at the top "read if ya want." IE, if you're sick of hearing everyone's opinion, don't bother.. I wouldn't be hurt at all. I've gone through many mindsets, I see myself as an everchanging person. Maybe one day I will get slapped in the face by the world.. Maybe it's already happened. Maybe being kind to other people who I deem deserving does in fact make me happier than simply fending for myself. Your liberal use of the insult "tool" makes me wonder if you just got into the band and found out where they got their name...
