IIRC , its a $5000 fine and 1 year in jail if you are caught with a bald eagle feather - So you are out of luck. The only people who can collect them legally are Indians, and there is a whole ceremony and ritual that goes along with it.

Stinky - I hope to make it to AK soon - its the only state of the 50 I haven't been to and it looks like its one of the prettiest ones. Hard to route business up there though, It'll have to be a vacation.

Bald Eagles at Lake Coeur d'Alene, ID http://www.id.blm.gov/eagle_watch/index.htm I went up here today to check them out, and let me say, these are magnificent creatures. Up to a 7 foot wingspan, 12 lbs and 3 feet long, they are some of the biggest birds I've ever seen in flight. Flight is an understatement, when they get up and going, they soar like hawks and falcons, effortlessly tipping their wings to catch thermals and swoop and dive - almost like they are playing. Simply awesome! I saw 5 or 6 different ones, they are kind Rating: 5
