THANK YOU! I've been wondering this myself and I think I mentioned it in the other post, but yes. Microwaves heat from the outside in. It's a mix between radiated heat and a little convection I think. The magnetron sends out waves that bounce around the walls and hit the food. Thats why you get cold spots and have to rotate the food. To let all the waves hit it. Try this as a 'baby' experiment. Take a whole chicken and put it into a microwave. Turn the fucker on for 30 mins and walk away. When you come back you'll have overcooked rubbery skin and pink red raw insides.

If this is the same baby story my wife read me, then the DA or someone mentions how there is no external indications of anything. I just don't buy it. Someone explain it to me in detail how the baby didn't at least have a bad sunburn.
