Kill it if you don't want seeds.

JIHAD to the males. You'll produce seedy weed with a lower THC level if you leave them. As they say........cut your loses.

    Have a good grow!

I've heard of people smoking them but be warned: they are not potent.

Well a little lesson (not meant to offend)

males dont have buds, they grow pollen sacks in the same place females grow buds.

Male pollen creates both male and female plants. Cannabis uses a XA system to determine sex (humans us XY system). so any seed is at least 50% female, But!!! some seeds can be XX thus feminized

I have been toking for 40 years! Yes, you can smoke male plants (or make hash from them)- they are not as stony as females, but if you are out, they are better than nothing. I let my males grow for a while in a separate cabinet before deciding what to do with them. First, I look at the plant- does it look good? Next, I get out the microscope (try Radio Shack) and check for any trichs (the little mushroom shaped goodies that hold the THC) Now, males normally have a few, but I am searching for the Holy Grail- a fully triched out male. (Trichs are sticky, and the male's pollen can stick to them- instead of finding a sticky, trichy female flower. Trichs on males are counter productive in nature, but it does happen occationally, so look!) If they are nothing special (the usual verdict), they get chopped! If they are good, I may save some pollen for the next grow. They go into brownies or if I'm low, I smoke them for day stash. It seems a shame to just toss them!

You might want to pollenate a bud or two for next crop's seeds. You need to segregate the male from the female. You might just want to take a nice branch and stick in in a bud vase. Place a sheet of white paper under it and set in a well lit, but breezeless area. The branch, like a cut flower, will continue to bloom and drop pollen. Gather the pollen and stick it in the fridge. Use a Q-tip or artist's paint brush to "paint" the pollen on to the buds.

Or you can just let nature take its course and leave the better of the two males with the female. You will have PLENTY of seeds this way. Yes, there is a slight drop in potency, but likely you'll never miss it if you are starting from good genetics. Use one of those big wire mesh strainers to separate the seeds from the smoke. Just rub the bud gently through the strainer. Be happy that one may be female- you can take a few clones for a slightly later crop!- Granny:stoned:
