Thinning Stem

Hey um my plant is about a week old now and it seemed to be doing perfect.....now the stem seems to be getting thinner by the day and it doesnt look as strong at all. I put a supporter on it and took it back off. Now it can stand up. I put it back on just because i want the best for my plant. The plant is about 1 1/2 inches tall and the first true leaves arnt big at all...like in the first stage. It still has those two round leaves at the bottom. My light cycle is 18/6.But does anyone know any reasons why this might be happening?

Hey, could be for a couple of reasons, what lights are you using? if its a floro then keep it 1 - 2 inches from the top of the plant, if its a HID of some sort then anywhere from 18 inches to 24 inches away. Secondly do you have a fan on the seedlings, if not i suggest purchasing an osciliating fan and stick it on them 24/7 that will strengthen the stems up and sort out your problem. Oh yeah i forgot (forgive me im wasted ) but the stems are getting thinner because they are stretching for the light therfore as it grows them stem gets longer and thinnner.. anyways, good luck.

thanks but like nah it cant be them stretching cuz like the plants still the same height, its just that it like gets really thin... lol um maybe the fan will work but i pulled em anyway....things are gettin scetchy and i found out that the seeds were more male percentaged anyway. but yeah i can use that information for my next grow. thanks man
