PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME WITH CLONING
I made a mini bubbler from a plastic coffee can and a 3 inch netpot and a 1inch airstone. Snipped, trimmed lowest node leaves, root hormone, jammed it through a rapid rooter, backfilled with hydroton and waited about 10 days and it worked under a weak cfl 18/6.
I thought it didnt work because the stalk got really fat at the bottom, upper stalk turned purple (normal I guess) and the lowest leaves that I'd left on shriveled right up as the top sucked out the stored nutes in them I suppose. I was about to pull the plug on it but then I saw all of the roots starting to poke out of the netpot.
So whatever you try, let it go a nice long while. If it's green, it's not dead yet.
Some people just use the old method which is slice at an angle and plop it right into a glass of plain water and wait.MisterE Reviewed by MisterE on . PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME WITH CLONING I'm cloned over 50 clones over past 3 months and only 9 have lived. I've tried everything that I've read and know. I've read Cloning 101 and try to follow that but it hasn't helped. The bottom of the stems have been turning to mush and clone dies. I've tried letting tip of clone go thru rapid rooter, I've tried leaving tip into RR. Tried rock wool, coco fiber, hydroton. I've also used peat pellets. They have little light. I've steralized everything before cutting. I just lost 5 this Rating: 5
