You will find that the price of a clone is based on the market. Just like how everything else is.
It costs like 1$ to clone a plant. So really all strains should be the same price (some sativia’s don’t clone as well) but due to market forces you’ll see a hierarchy.
So if you have a lot of people selling clones in your city. You might get them at 5$ a pop. You could pay as high as 25.
Grapefruit isn’t a particularly good strain. But, then again in Vancouver Canada its kinda the default one people tell you it is when they don’t know. So maybe I’ve never seen real grapefruit.
All I know is that I’m about to pick up some King Kush for 5$ each.

I'm in a state that does not have medical co-ops selling clones. Prices are accordingly on the higher end.
To me, a fair price for a clone is like $2 per node. Thus a healthy, branchy, big clone would be more than a small and delicate one.

It all has to do with genetics...I apologize...after reading what I posted...25 bucks is for a high grade fully grown and rooted ak-47.
It also has to do with area...I would sell clones for $10 if I had a local market.
perhaps grapefruit would be 5-10 bucks a pop, but white widow or NYCD would be more towards the $25 end
