That's so cute. Wish I could touch that head! My dog, Daisy (the beige one way up above), does the same thing. If you sit with her and look into her eyes and rub her ears and head and neck--and ideally if you talk very gently and sweetly to her as you're doing this--she begins making these funny, light snorting, grunting noises in her nose, throat and chest. It becomes continuous if there are no interruptions or distractions. We call it her "purring," but it's really more like low, soft pig snorts. I find it completely charming. I'm about to go hold her and see if I can get her to purr. . . .
