Good Rock Bands?

Hey anyone know what are some good bands, i just found otu that breaking benjamin is actually an ok band like thats the type of rock i like, and slipknot and tool and SOAD,korns alright but ya shit like that anyone know some good bands ?

I'm just an old hippy..I'm a fan of '70's rock,I like Pink Floyd,AC/DC,ZZTop,Rolling Stones,Metallica,BTO,Tom Petty etc.

These new-fangled bands have strange names and I don't know which are good and which ones suck..so I just play it safe and stick with what I do know.

If you liked slipknot's first album, check out Dry Kill Logic's new album, I can't recall the title at the moment, it just came out a month or two ago.

'The Dead and Dreaming'. Excellent album.

I also recommend American Head Charge's 'War of Art'.

If you like Tool penguin, you'll probably like Chevelle. Their new album is decent.

LOL!! Clear your mind for a second, forget who these bands are, and tell me how ZZ Top or Pink Floyd is less wierd than Slipknot or Dry Kill Logic.. hehehe

I recommend: System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Rammstein, Linkin Park, Jet, The Killers, CKY, The Datsuns, Foo Fighters, The Hives, Placebo, Queens of the Stone Age, The White Stripes, Rage Against the Machine, REM, The Strokes.

All very good.

LOL you're funny. I don't know how you can list LP and say the above line with a straight face. Obviously, you haven't been listening. Try reading some lyrics. Much deeper than you would think... Also listen to the killer rhythm section, and the range in Corey's voice. Top notch.

I knew someone would come out with that about Linkin Park. I know they do seem a bit shit but really their music is good, they are very talented, they just seem to get popular with little kids which gives others a bad impression.

As for slipknot, come on, they wear masks for god's sake! Once I saw one of them in an interview, he said "heck." Then he realised that he didn't sound "evil" enough so he changed it to hell. That's a bit sad.

Yeah flesh Radiohead are all right.
