Look how much the buds shrunk overnight. I thought we might get a 1/2oz but now it looks closer to a 1/4oz.

Cool. Good job, man. I went around 50/50 clear/cloudy last time, same seeds. We all were happy with the results. I have some hard bud that I will let go late on. The rest I will see when it's getting late and harvest then.

You think so? Maybe it did need more time. Like I said I only saw a few amber trichs. We'll let Mercedes go till they are mostly cloudy and 10-20% are amber, or around that.

Now we have drugs! We smoked a few popcorn nugs today. They get you high and taste pretty good for fairly fresh bud. They're drying pretty quick so I think we'll start curing in a few days time. :jointsmile:

Looking great canuck you must be stoked! my grandma just dropped off a cedar hope chest and apparently cedar sucks buds dry pretty quick. H keeps telling me that if I dry too fast it won't taste as good even after curing and will affect the weed. But we'll have to see. Keep it up. Oh you can get fans at Canadian Tire pretty cheap and they have a selection during winter.

Hey everyone, thanks for the kind words. We are proud of our first nugs! The weed is great! They smell just fantastic, a little citrus-ish maybe but still a bit fruity (a bit like mango now). The taste is alright, and the smoke is harsh if you take a big :bong:. The high is nice and up, very clear. It gets better every day too. The cola is being saved for 4/20 so it'll have lots of time to cure nicely. It's in a small, airtight glass jar. It'll come in handy if Wendy & Wilma aren't ready soon enough, and even if they are! :rastasmoke:

bree I don't have a scale and we've been nibbling at the pile already. Maybe I'll buy a scale today. Till then here is a pic of the buds when we'd only smoked a gram or two. The top nugs are somewhat dense. It looks like 1/2oz but because 1/2 the nugs are a bit light and airy it's probably close to 10-11g. I think we've smoked about an 1/8th.

chrissy Hmm, I think cedar would be nice to dry in too. It's dry as a nun's twat here, somewhere around 20-30% RH. Our buds weren't fat and they dried in 2 days. The stems didn't quite snap, so they are in ziplocks and being aired frequently for now. The outside of the nugs was really dry and I wanted it to even out a bit, but now I'm letting them air out quite a bit till they're actually dry. Oh yeah and I got some fans from staples, the online store. They have a nice little honeywell one for $20, but if you go into the store and ask for one they'll laugh at you; you have to order it online.

Mercedes still looks like she has lots of time left! Her pistils are just turning brown/red and and her trichs are all clear. She is just getting fatter and fatter, but I wish we had fed her just one more week. Oh well, we had no idea how long they'd be. I have other stuff going on so I will try and take pics soon an then update this log!

Nice harvest, I loosely followed this grow since you started, and I would definately smoke that bud.
