What do you mean "without that kief"?

kief is what you get when you use a grinder and the stuff that collects at the bottom is more potent. Also if you rub your bud over a silk screen then kief will fall under it, and you can press kief into hash.

if you've got the time i'd just use your fingers to break it up... sure, it may take longer, but the anticipation makes firing it up even better!
