I'm not assuming, TAG. I was simply basing my conclusion on what I saw, to be honest, and partially, too, on my limited observation of your actions today.
The thread title may not reflect the contents of said thread to you. And indeed, that one didn't after you resurrected it. I’m well aware that your comments and the one reply that came after yours didn't follow the "Dude f--- people" line, which was great. But I’m hoping sometime you can see my actions from a wider board perspective. That thread title invited other subsequent posters, many of them far less civil and courteous than you, to join in on that obnoxious theme. As Slipknot pointed out, those old threads were created before many of us were members or mods, and they were also created under the previous ownership of the boards, when the standards were rather different. We’re tasked with enforcing the newer standards. And some of us are also rather keen on keeping the main lounge as free of invective and obnoxiousness as we can. It’s not always easy, but it does matter. This lounge is the face of cannabis.com, and if we’re ever going to be successful at raising the esteem in which cannabis advocates and smokers are held—or at changing attitudes and, ultimately, laws—then certainly civility and courtesy are good places to start.
I’ve enjoyed this debate, but I must sign off now and finish cooking supper for my family. I also need to deal with a more troubling issue here at home, and that’s the fact that my 18-pound orange cat keeps making running leaps onto my lap, practically knocking me off my chair, in order to vault up and walk on my computer desk and shelves, and then jump down onto my keyboard. It’s time for a tabby time-out.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"

This is first and foremost a POT site. You've got many hardcore stoners on here, and that's the way it should be. People that frequently smoke heavy stuff, for a long time, have been known to get a little warped, and that comes with the territory. I'm not even doing it very much these days, but many aspects of my attitude and demeanor are permanently affected and still considered abnormal by the "straight" people's standards - which is fine with me. I'll beat most of them at so many things that it's pathetic. My self-esteem is fine.

This is all nonsense now, isn't it? It seems like everyone already has proven their point..
But this whole thing was pretty funny :stoned: Stoner arguments are great, the other side ussually tries not to piss off the other.

sgs2: don't know why i had to point that out, but it's a pretty important concept in this day and age... we got people all around us with TOO much authority and you got to handle yourself. YOU have the DUTY to question their "right" to be a moderator/cop if they act in a particular way.

That is one of the perks of being a mod. Closing a thread is but a click away.

come to think of it, birdgirl gave me an infraction for telling someone the dangers of one drug over another, you know, trying to save someone from making a stupid decision, because it had the letters L, S, and D in consecutive order. hmmmm
