Ah I see. Well thank you for the info birdgirl you are forever informative

Obviously I never dated a woman who couldnt handle 'hormonal methods'... Plus I admit I'm an 'asshole' when it comes to gf's having periods... I much prefer them using the shot or nuvaring so that it can either be stopped or reduced... Periods suck so much... I'm sure more for the women but for us guys too!!! to not be able to have sex 84 days out of the year... Man, that just makes me want to cry

Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

There isnt too many things I havent done and I indeed did have sex with a girl on her period... Periods themselves dont bother me, I'm not offended by a natural bodily function (except for throwing up, I do have a phobia with that) but the way it feels (period) is really nasty... I dont know how to describe it... It's like you know it is blood and not 'lub' that is all over you... It's a very different consistency (liquid wise)... Plus, while I know 'periods' dont smell great, when you mixed menstrual blood with normal vaginal lub (which has its own smell) it gets sooooo RANK. I mean, it is stomach turning and I say this as a guy who did a lot of things other people might think is nasty.

Anyhow, yeah 84 days is a lot of days out of a year that has 365 days... Isnt that like 1/4th of the ENTIRE year your girl cant fuck you? I mean, I'm not saying you got to fuck EVERY day (though that is nice with the right girl) but when you have a 1/4th of the year you cant screw that is a lot of situations where, just because of some annoying blood, you cant enjoy intercourse. I dunno, that bothers me when I cant have sex when I want to and the girl is equally in the mood.

That's why I'm like I cant believe every girl doesnt want to be on the nuvaring but I didnt know some girls couldnt handle hormonal b/c.

Is that so Napolitana? I'm glad you're such an expert

Yes nuvering can stop a period but NOT when used as typically directed. Typically a female inserts the ring for 3 weeks, removes it, menstruates, and then inserts a new one. However, if you insert a new one immediately after 3 weeks it is possible to stop or reduce your period.

I know this for a fact as my ex's ob/gyn told us in her office and in addition to reading it in the news. I get the feelings though that not a lot of doctors tell women this or maybe dont even know about it... You would think ob/gyn would but perhaps if you're primary health physician is just a regular MD they may not be as up-to-date.

Sweetheart, you bleed for a reason. While it's not necessarly unhealthy, it's not HEALTHY to not have your period.

BFA, I personally feel like it's unhealthy to not have a period, but I think a lot of doctors say it's ok to not have one for three months. Hence, the depo shot, which stops the period for three months at a time. I wouldn't like to do that, because it's unnatural but I don't think it is too bad for you.

it's not necessarily unhealthy to skip one or some (take that seasonale pill, however they spell it)... ppl skip their off week w hormone birth control for like, going on vacation for example. i wouldnt do it on the regular just cause my lover was 'an asshole' about periods. come on, someuser, you think she likes it or something? consider yourself lucky, for not getting a period yourself, and for getting some at all. haha

semi unrelated, but anyone think that girls syncing up their periods is an endorsement of same sex relations? otherwise they'd have off time for half the month. haha maybe just my left field thinking..
