    omg are you actually a fucking idiot, excuse my language. you are telling a first time dog owner that his first dog should be a pitbull terrier....dude these dogs are illegal in england for a reason. there little shits.

    Thanks for all your opinions and help everyone, yeah i agree with the idea that its better to buy a dog already trained but in some ways its better to buy it from a puppy becuase it knows your its owner if you bring a already grown up dog into a new house it will be scared and wont be used to it

    Most handlers for entertainment dog shows (like circus dogs) get theirs from pounds for a very good reason though...the smarter dogs will show their willingness to cooperate right away along with their appreciation for saving their lives! Some, granted not all, are sent away for no fault of their own and seem to realize their situation and will do almost anything to please and keep their new masters happy! Just be patient when and if you search for a pound dog, but there are some excellent dogs to be found in them.

    goddamnit, this thread has made me want another dog.
    ive been researching through some and the bergamasco seems to match up with what would be best for my lifestyle.....except im not a shepherd, plus when they get older they get dreadlocks.

    nothing really to do with training, but dont feed your dogs rasins or grapes they are very toxic to animals. Look it up if you dont believe me, i read it at the vets so i dont got a link.
