torch lighters

ok guys who uses torches,, i love em i like the tases better i think its alot cleaner but ppl say the gases are bad , i think its the same as normal fluiod but with no smoke from the flint and shit,, anyone know about the heaqlth effects and what the longest you have had a torch lighter,, they never last me more then three months and the biggest torch ive seen is a triple thanks again guys

ok, first of all, any smoke the flint produces you're not inhaling... so that entire theory is thrown right out, up front. second, if you're smoking weed with torch lighters, especially if it's dank/chronic.... you're wasting weed.... unless someone comes and PROVES me wrong, that flame is burning up weed, and/or thc.... (of course, if you're smoking a blunt/joint you need not worry about this, this applies to pipes/joints) third, it's the same fuel (unless lighting from a zippo), so it's no diffrent, refer back the to the flint aspect...

probably sound like an ass, or maybe not i really don't know lol... i'm on 4th 40, 'people skills' aren't exactly my strong point atm.... but what i'm telling you is truth...

as for how long they last, not very long, a month at MOST, and that is very rare... dunno what it is about jet lighters, but they suck, they always end up breaking extremely fast, can't be the ignition source, because basicly all i use (for the last year, or two) is a electric ignition lighter from ronson, i've used them forever, same model and everything and the only reason i have to replace them is cuz i lose my temper and end up throwing it into a wall, or losing them.... so it's not that.....

No, you're right Slipknot, torch lighters burn about a grand, which kills THC. Now for Salvia they are the best way to smoke, as the chemical compound requires about 8bucks to combust.

Torches are fun though...sucks they suck for weed. Back in the day my friend said that his mom said torches where weed lighters 'cause weed burns at a higher temp. Which made sense 'cause weed didn't seem to spark up quite like tobacco.

Weed might burn at higher temperatures, but THC combusts pretty readily and easily at lower temps.

burning up the thc is the point torches are all around good shit for weed as long as they are at a low setting, and hunter, ur right on bout the salvia i forgot to put it in there that it is a must for salvia thanks guys

They're perfect for winter, on account of the wind. If you only hold the flame to the pipe bowl for about two seconds, just long enough to get a cherry, your not burning up the THC. Just don't hold the lighter there too long. That's the whole point of using a torch lighter for weed, you don't need to keep re-lighting like you do with a bic. But, if you burn the weed too long, it's definitely going to destroy it, no argument there.
