Reeeeeed eye
I love to get stoned, but often I end up with a good dose of the red-eye, which is very annoying because I live at home, and I don't fancy my mum knowing that I love to get baked.
Anyone know if it's 'curable'? Or what causes it? Or why it only happens to some people?TommyJ Reviewed by TommyJ on . visine redness reduction eyedrops.
what happens is that marijuana expands your blood vessels, causing more blood to travel to your eyes, making them red. at least i think that's how it works...
anyway, most people get red eyes, but i know a few who do only on occassion. i dont know why, but it happens. you just have to roll with the punches and carry eyedrops with you just in case.
hope i helped.

its actually more simple than that slpntrx, all it is is dehydration.. take cleareyes before you smoke and youll have no problems, if you take it after you have to wait for them to turn white but if you take it before they never get red

Yeah dude, you ain't never heard of eye-drops?
Just get something like visine, anything thats supposed to cure "dry red eyes" or somethin'.
Man, visine was made for stoners. Seriously, its like "OH yeah, I use visine because I don't want people to know I was swimming!" -Mitch Hedburg

Personaly, I just close my eyes so I've never been bothered by it.. Some of my friends use eyedrops but from what they tell me it kinda makes you feel like you're coming down. That's my 4.20..

Cheers for the info guys. So other than eyedrops, there's not much I can do about it?
I checked out Visine on Wiki, and was a little concerned by this....
Adverse effects
* Reducing the blood supply to the eye can prevent, or at least prolong, the healing cycle. Thus, the use of Visine® and other similar products is not helpful in healing the eyes [citation needed].
* Use will create a rebound after a couple of hours and make the eye look even redder. Prolonged use can permanently dilate blood vessels, so use should be limited to 1 or 2 times.
* Those using Visine® Original frequently report stinging and burning upon application[1].
* Although the use of Visine® as a poison to induce diarrhea has been discounted as an urban legend[2], systemic complications have been reported as a result of poisoning and accidental ingestion[2][3][4].http://bsforums.co.uk , check it out, and sign up to the forums!

1. unless you've got pink eye or some other eye disease, you dont need to worry about this
2. that seems like total bullshit. it's never happened to me or any of my fellow tokers.
3. could happen, but its never happened to me.
4. as long as you don't drink it like a retard, this shouldn't matter at all.

Thats ridiculous, why would you buy visine if you only planned to use it once or twice? Thats like, buying a banana and having a "WARNING: Ingestion of over 2 bites may cause permanent brain damage"
I don't know if I fully believe that, unless they are talking extremes, as in using visine every day for a year.
