150 watt hps good for 2 plants?Which would make it mid 80s, or a few years after "smart" windows started coming out. But it works for you, and one can't argue with that. I've learned long ago that there's no "right' way to do it, there's only results. And if you get results, who's to say what you're doing is wrong? Not me!

But I'm still willing to wager $$ that removing it will up your growth & yield. Not a huge difference, but I think enough to notice.I am currently not on air. But SpikedTeaRado is! http://209.104.4.230:8249/listen.pls

150 watt hps good for 2 plants? What's your budget and work from there. Originally Posted by growdatpurp Originally Posted by growdatpurp

As for the spectrum around high end kelvin so 5500-6500 spectrum for vegging. Most likely just pick up a 6500 ones.

 For floweirng use around 2100-2400kelvin.
If you go cfl most people switch bulbs when changing to flowering simple enough.

But I'm just a noob after all.

Work with what you can, fans and exhaust is my bottle neck right now.

150 watt hps good for 2 plants?I'd pick up a 400w instead of two 150w unless they have to grow in two different locations. A 400w outputs 50k lumens compared to some 16k x 2 lumens from a 150w. A 600w gives almost 100k lumens. Originally Posted by growdatpurp Originally Posted by growdatpurp

150 watt hps good for 2 plants?THAT is a hard question to answer, and is very subjective. No right or wrong answer. Originally Posted by growdatpurp Originally Posted by growdatpurp

CFT is the newcomer on the scene, and has only been available in the appropriate spectra and wattages over the past 2 years or so. I've seen more and more people switch to CFTs for small, enclosed spaces, and for their veg rooms. Many people are now starting to bud w/CFTs. Yields under CFT are less than yields under HPS, but still quite respectable.

CFTs become counterproductive when they're more than a foot from your plant.I am currently not on air. But SpikedTeaRado is! http://209.104.4.230:8249/listen.pls

150 watt hps good for 2 plants?I'm still on my first grow, so take this with a grain of salt, but we've used one 250W HPS for veg and flower with decent results so far. day # 13 of flowering right now, and these pics go up until about a week ago.

we started with a lot of plants from seed and now we have 5 females left under that light. eventually we'll probably cut that down to 1-2 because of the smell. i'm happy enough with it for a first try, so I say go for it!

150 watt hps good for 2 plants?Volker, is this from personal experience? No matter where the info was derirved, thanks for bringing up the impact on CFT's, I'd like to know more. CFT information has seemingly been ignored since CFLs were introduced, B Originally Posted by Volker Originally Posted by Volker Originally Posted by harris7 Originally Posted by harris7
