What kind of room you putting them in?
How long will they be in vegging?

Target at least 2000 lumes per square feet, around 4000 is what you should be giving the plant if not more. Also keep in mind that hps are good for flowering/budding and not vegging.

i beg to differ... loads of peeps use hps for the whole grow with ample success. i don't but i have friend who do. truthfully, their plants look better than mine!

to answer you q, yes it would work for two in a small reflective lined cab, but i would suggest you get another, or some cfl's. just because, ya know?

The light from a 150W HPS is sufficient for 2 plants from sprout to bud, provided all other requirements are met. (mylar, light distance, plant spacing, ventilation, water, etc.)

Many people switch lamps between MH or Flouro for veg, and HPS for bud. But this is not a requirement. You can do the whole cycle with HPS no problem.

i have to ask how you pulled this off, i use 2x150hps and would be happy with 5oz from the 2 combined.

my area is a bit bigger than yours ( 42x32x20 ) but i would love to know your veg times and such as this is my first time using this setup.

heres a pic as it is right now.

veg is about 4-6 weeks and i grow scrog style. my 150hps=5oz my 400hps=14+oz. it's all about the screen! you can evenly space all budsites and keep the light nice and close to the canopy. as long as there is sufficient ventillation you can get great yeilds. power and space are my limitations so i had to find a way to get the best yeilds possible with the resources i have available. with my 400hps i get .98gm/watt and with the 150hps i get .75gm/watt that's not bad, eh?

Is that a sheet of glass that the hoods are sitting on? Is it a special type of glass, or "regular" window glass? Some of the newer window glasses reduce light - especially in the blue to ultraviolet area - significantly. I've noticed that my plants do better in direct sunshine than window sunshine.

Just a thought, try removing the glass. I'm willing to bet your growth/yield will up quite a few percentage points.
