    Awakening

I grew up with some childhood issues that I never dealt with. They just piled up and I never adressed them, I just internalized them.I think its entirely possible I have had some deep rooted emotional and mental issues that were to much to take but i couldnt figure everyting out per say. I was depressed for the longest time and had bad anxiety. I went to some classes (im a psychology major) and learned about the differant disorders I could have possibly have. It really wasnt until i took mushrooms and heavy marijuana use that I "figured my self out" I changed my life that next day and have been 10x happier. I have decided to be completly enthralled in school , be more active with my family, friends and girlfriend. I feel like someone turned on a switch in my brain that just balanced me out.

For anyone interested in my exp.

I wrote some things down that were issues I had. I have anxiety all the time, sometimes making life unbearable. I dont think alot of people understand anxiety, when you have Generalized Anxiety everyday tasks become unbearable and very uncomfortable. Everywhere you go you worry and have this "internal voice" that keeps you from doing anything you would want to do. Its like somone tosses a million dollars on the ground in front of you, but in order to get it you have to cross a fire. You know you will never get it because that fire will consume you. Its like that with any experience, you want to succeed but that fear of failure keeps you from doing it.

This caused me to grow apart from my family and it was tough to be in social situtations around them. I ate mushrooms and it was the most intense and eye opening experience ever. After watching this shadow transform and mutate into 100s of things i started to dig deep in my mind and see myself for what i really was. I was introduced to every flaw I had in my body. Every possible thing that was tearing me apart inside. since that experience Ive opened up so much and have been working so hard to correct everything (im going to schedule an appointment with a therapist to help this progression) and have a new refreshed relationship with my girlfriend. she says she notices a 180 change for the better.

I just thought id share to offset all those bad stories you hear from drug use. At least you heard a story of drugs changing soemone for the better.

    Happy toking all!

Rock on man. We've basically fucked society by making shrooms illegal and requiring people to go to psychologists for the talking cure and prescription drugs. no offense to your chosen field of study or anything.

Anyway, sounds like you had a helpful change of perspective. Congrats on turning it around...
