I am under the notion that usually one has to build a good relationship with the dealer before they try to make demands. Is that misguided? Can you just first deal, right off the bat, ask for headies and not get laughed away? Otherwise, I'd think even if Buddha Man got ripped off, he'd want to keep going back to that person and be patient with the dealer, right?
