    Chistmas has lost its excitment...

A couple a years ago I was 19 and was still looking forward to Christmas time. I was wondering what my parents were getting me, looking forward to the food, etc.

When I was younger I could hardly sleep as my mind wondered what Santa was going to bring me.

This year though it's all so blah. Normally Christmas feels like it takes forever to get here because the day after Thanksgiving I would start anticipating it. Now I look at the calender a couple days ago and realize there is less than a week left (now only 3 days till Christmas Eve.)

I'm 21 and still getting gifts from family. I may get an XBOX 360 this year. Something to get excited about right? I just don't know it's almost like this time of year isn't close to being the same. If I don't get a 360 I could always just save up for about 5-6 months and buy myself one.

I know this isn't really abnormal, but I was thinking about how happy I was this time of year as a kid. Now it is just like any other time of year just with more crowds and more traffic.

Yeah...I agree with you. It feels like a chore to me anymore. I'm hoping that someday, I'll feel the excitement again...

    Chistmas. lol.

I'm taking Christ our of Christmas once and for all. This holiday will now be known as Chistmas.

As for Halloween, I never really have gotten back into it. I will go to a halloween party sometimes, but I usually don't bother much with that one either.

Yeah, when I was little I used to count the days until Christmas, but now I find it to be almost a waste of my money. Sure I get to see my neices and nephew, but do I seriously have to by them presents? I'm perfectly fine teaching them how to play video games and just having them there.
