I'm a pretty shitty handroller myself, I cheat a lot with pens.. Anyway, today I was talking to a friend of mine who showed me a trick of hers to roll freehand. When you fold the lower half of the paper to hold the weed, also fold the left corner inward, so that the flap is between the side of paper on your side and the side of paper opposite you... Put your weed in the little "sleeve" that is formed, then roll it up. It works extremely well.
