dont use a roller machine, they cause all sorts of runs in the joint, always hand roll and if you dont know how, learn.

I never was a good hand roller, even in college when I did it all the time, and this past summer when we were prepping Js for my sister to smoke when she was sick, I botched enough of them that I finally bought a roller. Worked well since we used little hemp filters, too. I think rollers are fine if you find you're wasting more weed througn badly hand-rolled joints than you would otherwise.

OK, set the roller down in front of you and pull the two little spindles into their separated position (you have to do this through the plastic rolling fabric). Basically, just make sure there's a little trough between the two spindles. And try and make sure the lower spindle is the one that's nearest you. Push the rolling plastic/fabric down to make a little trough between the spindles. That's where your weed goes.

Use the edge of your paper packet to scoop up about a joint's worth of weed to put into the trough. It helps if the weed's properly cured and reasonably well ground.

Once the weed's in the little trough (the first time or two, you may have to use your hands to make sure the trough stays there and holds the weed until the roller fabric gets used to maintaining its trough shape when the spindles are apart), close the lower spindle, making sure the weed stays in the trough. You just grab it with your fingers and push it up (you'll see little tracks on the side brackets of the roller) into closed position.

Use your thumbs to roll the lower (front) spindle forward through the fabric a time or two to tighten the weed and get it ready for your paper. If you look through the ends of the rolling machine, you can see about how big your joint will be. You can't generally roll super fat joints with a rolling machine. Just roll it toward yourself in one direction, and make sure there's no weed on the fabric or in the crevice between the two closed spindles.

Take a single paper out of your pack with the gummed edge on top and facing toward you. Insert the bottom edge of the paper into the crevice of the roller and use your thumb to roll the front spindle forward (toward yourself) to draw the paper in and around the joint. Stop when all the paper's taken in but the gummed edge. Lick the gummed edge and then finish rolling it in. It'll seal itself inside the roller. I always gave it an extra roll or two just for good measure.

Open the spindles and voila! There's your joint! Pinch-roll the ends like you would a hand-rolled joint. It should be a perfectly rolled joint, not too tight and not too loose. Let us know if it works!

I'm a pretty shitty handroller myself, I cheat a lot with pens.. Anyway, today I was talking to a friend of mine who showed me a trick of hers to roll freehand. When you fold the lower half of the paper to hold the weed, also fold the left corner inward, so that the flap is between the side of paper on your side and the side of paper opposite you... Put your weed in the little "sleeve" that is formed, then roll it up. It works extremely well.

i can roll by hand but i prefer my zigzag hand roller, it rolls a perfect joint every time and never ever ever have i had it run or burn uneven.

with the same amount of weed it rolls a bigger joint than done by hand i dont why but it does

yea, i got the zig zag roller and it's the shit..you can even buy the individual blunt wraps and use those in it for perfect blunts every time. i love it.
