Sometimes the same meds they prescribe for OCD are a type of SSRI antidepressant, Socks, and folks only have to take one type of drug. Are you working with a doc who knows about both conditions and is going to try to treat them both? Are you worried about taking two different meds? For some people a combination of pills works best, and for others, a single pill can help with both types of symptoms. (I have a sister who takes two meds for similar stuff, depression and compulsive behavior) I'm not sure I fully comprehend what you're feeling concerned about, whether it's the med side effects, the depression, the OCD, or the potential problem of taking too many pills.
