First grow w/bagseed...Hermies?
Hi all,
I am 14 days into flowering and it appears that many or most of my 10 plants are showing hermaphrodite tendencies. I've only been able to identify two 100% girl plants and it seems the rest are either male or a mix. Next time i will BUY instead of using bagseed. Live and learn.
My Questions: some of these hermies are producing some nice looking flowers (at least to my novice eyes - see pix) are males/hermies really useless & unworthy of smoking? Should I really yank all these out (6-8 plants) and only leave the two confirmed females - or should I let em all grow and just accept that I may get seeds/reduced potency? In terms of final yeild of active cannibanoids - which is better? I am guessing that these chicks w/dix may have already fertilized my gals by now anyway. Thanks for all feedback!

"One of the greatest disappointments known to the growing man.
90% of what the final product will be is in the seed's genetics and has little to do with the environment the plant is grown in.
Many get their hands on the seed and think they have a gold mine. They will probably grow something like this: hermaphrodites, tall late flowering females coupled with early flowering males. This is because the only pollen that could have produced the seed was from a hermaphrodite or a very stunted and late flowering male the grower did not notice. Unless you are prepared for possible disappointment don't use "unknown" seeds. This is why people buy seeds from seedbanks."guano68 Reviewed by guano68 on . First grow w/bagseed...Hermies? First grow w/bagseed...Hermies?
I ended up with 4 females, 2 of which went hermi. I decided to keep all 4 plants since my hermis were like 97% female with just a few male balls and risk having a few seeds in my weed instead of decreasing my yield by at least 1/2. I'd say keep the hermis and pull all the male balls off, unless its just like insanely hermi and showing like half as many male flowers as female one. If its a mostly female plant with a few male balls, you m ight be able to pull all the balls off. I'm on my first grow too, check it out, link's in my sig. Bagseed even w/ hermis come out looking pretty badass.
